To
celebrate the world record depth of the Deep sea Special
and to make maximum publicity, Rolex geneva decided
to manufacture several Replica Models of the DSS to
be displayed at Major Rolex retailers and to be donated
to major museums around the world such as Smithsomian
Institute in washinton DC, the London Science Museum,
and the Musee du Leman in Switzerland.
